When we first viewed the site at Greensmiths in Lower Marsh, as well as having a basement all to ourselves, the other intriguing prospect was the use of a dining space….along with a full working kitchen.
In the words of Richard H. Turner - ‘We could serve up a bloody great big Sunday lunch in here you know.’
At the weekend, that is exactly what we did...
If you follow us on socials, you should have got a sense of the vibe, to help celebrate the opening at SE1 and to test the concept…T&G’s Sunday Sessions was born.
Pre-prandial drinks were served from the counter, followed by a flowing of starters and sharing platters, heaving with our delicious Grassroots beef - plus a generous distribution of finest Claret by St John Wines.
James George provided the soundtrack for the afternoon and at some point, a massive wheel of Baron Bigod appeared…later on, we all retreated to the local, England beat Senegal 3-0 and things got hazy…but it was, in other words, a most excellent afternoon.
As a result we are now spurred to run them monthly throughout 2023. Many people have made inquiries already, so we recommend you contact us to be added to an exclusive guestlist that is forming fast, to beat the anticipated rush for tickets.

Apologies by the way for the London-centric nature of this blogpost but who knows, if this all kicks off properly, we could even think of taking this on a UK tour…now that really would be fun!
