At Turner & George, we are all about collaboration and we are very pleased to announce that we are involved in not one but two events coming up this month.
And incidentally, they both fall on Thursday 25th April. What are the chances, eh?
First up is a SURF & TURFZ night run by the legendary Nip & Cluck crew who are based in Whitstable and will be heading to the smoke, bringing their delicious blend of live fire cooking to The Worker’s League at Blackheath, SE3.
Formed in February 2023, they have made quite the name for themselves on the Kent coast, pairing up locally sourced, high welfare chicken and freshly caught lobster - all brushed with buttery ‘Dabs’ on the way out of their wood-fired oven and served up with an immense array of sides and table sauces.
For this occasion, we will be supplying the steak for the turf and we have got some exquisite dry-aged beef lined up to centrepiece as a sharing board.
We will be shouting more over the coming days, regarding the finer detail of the beef on our socials, but the main thing is to get your reservation in now.
A £10 per head deposit secures your place, so dash over to their booking page as soon as poss - NIP & CLUCK SURF & TURFZ
Make sure you select the location as: Surf & Turfz Pop Up and please be advised that tables for 2 at nearly fully booked!
Secondly, we are also supplying the meat for the SPRING CO-MMUNAL FEASTING DINNER & COCKTAILS over in Haggerston, E8.
Hosted at 58 and CO’s ethical distillery in East London, this family-style feast will feature a 3 course sharing dinner prepared by Diarmuid Goodwin, celebrating British seasonal produce with a Mediterranean influence. Each course will be paired with a cocktail, designed by cocktail and spirits expert Carmen O’Neal and the 58 and CO team, as well as wine provided by LAYLO.
Again, the menu is another cracker and we will be supplying veal from Weston Rose Veal, Kersdown Barton, Bampton, Devon, plus Dorset Saltmarsh Lamb from Edward Hull Turnsole Farm, Burnham, Essex.
For more information, please do check out their Eventbrite page here - SPRING COMMUNAL
And last but not least, we are in the process of putting together one of our famous wine & steak pairings over at the shop EC1 with our own wine expert, Victoria Sharples.
As we’ve already mentioned, it is time to start banging the BBQ drum and Victoria has got some interesting pairing combinations for everyone to savour with their grilled and smoked meats for the summer of 2024.
Tickets go live next week.
Which of course means we are now involved in three events this April. Not two.
It’s gonna be bussssaaaayyy!
